GTFiji Grads - 18.48 & 8.41 Clubs

As the 80 in 80 campaign nears the home stretch, the fundraising committee remains excited with the growth and enthusiasm for the outstanding graduate support being received!  The 80th campaign, launched at last years Pig Dinner, outlined an ambitious plan to recruit 80 new members throughout the year to Gamma Tau’s Giving Clubs. These 80 new members would go a long way to funding the three new major initiatives that the club hopes to start over the next several years and fund for many years to come. The 3 major initiatives, all scholarship based, are aimed at helping Gamma Tau remain on top of its proud academic standing at Georgia Tech.

The first scholarship, which has already been successfully implemented in its first year, is the Gene Buran Leadership Scholarship. This scholarship sponsors incoming Tech freshmen with the winner receiving a $1000 award with three runner-up gifts of $500 a piece. These scholarships will not only assist incoming students with the expenses associated with school, but will jointly serve the fraternity as a great rush tool. Secondly, in coordination with the International fraternity’s AAA scholarship, the fundraising committee would like to pledge an additional $100 to each pledge who earns at least a 3.0 GPA his pledge semester. The committee will also commit to increasing this amount as the clubs and donations grow in number. Finally, in addition to providing assistance to incoming students, the fundraising committee would like to increase inventive behind the Snowy White Owl award which is awarded to the undergrad who displays the most academic improvement from the previous semester. This $500 award would hopefully continue to promote the tradition of academic excellence at Gamma Tau.

While the 80 in 80 campaign has already been an overwhelming success, the committee still needs more support to make these goals become a reality! If you would like to become a member of either the 18.48 or 8.41 clubs, please join using the options below.  Thanks in advance for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at Pig Dinner on April 14th!
